So sleep and I have fallen out of touch. He comes some time long after I've laid down and closed my eyes-usually makes an appearance around 3/4- rarely stays the whole night, and doesn't particularly like leaving me in the morning when my three [ no joke] alarms want me to wake up at 9. But then 9 turns into 10, and I finally drag myself out of bed. And today I got a MAGICAL surprise in my Reeses Puffs cereal [do not judge what you do not understand teehee] Yes I realize-now- that it says on the box in BIG letters- PULL BACK CAR INSIDE! But in my half-asleep stuper that I am in while I grab that box every morning, I never really took the time to read the box. So you can imagine my surprise as all the sudden this black foriegn object comes rolling out of the box and into my bowl. Luckily I was just totally surprised and stoked about it instead of scared to death by it =] baha!
And that was my morning! =] LOVE YOU!! XXXOOO Taylor =] p.s. if you haven't downloaded the Angels and Airwaves cd yet [few posts down] you should do it NOW! It's been on repeat all week. SUCH an incredible cd!

Okay so a while back I promised I would post a DIY and here it is! You need;; lots of colorful hardstock paper. Or be thrifty like me and go to any local hardware store [Walmart has them too] and get a handful of the paint sample papers in coordinating colors =] they're free, they're sturdy, they're perfect! Glue, I used glue stick mostly but occasionally needed to use liquid glue if it wouldn't stick-Tape is optional Scissors- [not shown] Yarn-I used a thick Lion Brand And a few pages from an old book or a dollar store romance novel that I had left over pages from my wreath Sewing Matchine Step One: Draw and cut out your heart, or star, or whatever you would like your garland to be on the back of your cardstock or paint samples. I divided the bigger ones into smaller squares so I could make a lot of them. Make sure you make double the amount you want to do-for example, if you want it to be a smaller garland like mine is with 9 hearts, make 18 different little squares =] You should now have little squares that look roughly like this-only with your design on them Now take your squares or rectangles =] and cut out the same size shape on the book paper-note; make sure there are words on both the front and the back. I made that mistake a few times! Glue the first square to the paper, don't worry if there is excess paper hanging out, you'll get rid of that later. If the glue stick doesn't hold it down, use a LITTLE liquid glue. Too much just became a huge mess! haha Then take a second square -make sure it's roughly the same size and shape as the one you just glued, and glue that to the back of the first cut out. Now you have a cute little double sided piece Now you need to trim the excess colored paper and book page Now cut off a piece of yarn the length you want your garland to be-I made mine for the inside of Ron's teepee so I didn't want it to be tooo big but I still wanted it to be long enough to maybe wrap around a time or two, I ended up making mine about 6 feet long. From there, take each of the double sided pieces you made and sew them onto the string with your sewing machine. These is fun because you can do just a simple line down the middle, or make multiple lines, zig-zag lines, I did a few X's; it was fun =] Make sure to space them all differently and have a variety of how they're sewn on. Add your own little flair to it! =] And Ta-Da! You now have a cute new little garland to put wherever you please! Be sure to share pictures with me! Hope you enjoyed my first tutorial!
XXXOOO Taylor I love bands who give away free music! Angels and Airwaves is giving away their entire new cd, Love for FREE! Insanity! Gohere to get it! It's an incredible album and I definately reccommend downloading it =] Here's one of the songs off of it;; Love you all! =]
Gilmore Girls own my heart. And this quote shows why;; Scene-at a Lord of the Rings themed little kids birthday party and two little kids are fighting over something;; Lorali-"LOVE kids! Love! Lord of the Rings is all about love!" Little boy-"No it isn't! It's about the distruction of mankind!" Lorali-"And who doesn't love that?" baha =] my, oh my. I want to be like Lorali when I'm a momma =] La-la-loveeee it! =]] Image found via weheartit.com
So I decided this year to be ridiculous and surprise Ron with something completely original and out of the blue! And I found THIS tutorial by Rachel at Smile and Wave for a teepee and badabingbadaboom lots of sleepless nights and sewing and painting and this came to be;; Lots of different shots of the teepee, an view of the inside of the teepee [I made little pompoms and a heart garland for it =]] ] the table I set up [we ate homemade hamburgers and fries] cake, smores, yummy =] I love roses =] and that teddy bear is absolutely adorable and SO soft!! <33 I named him Al. He just seems like an Al to me =] haha! I love it so much =] thank you again baby =]

...It has been far too long since I've blogged! Life this past week has been insane. Absoluetly beyond insane. I found out on Monday that I girl I've known for 11 years passed away...=[ [RIP Dani Bates, know you're incredibly missed...] I modled shirts for Aubree's Etsy store [coming soon! I've already called dibs on the owl one so back off! =]] ] I've been sewing and painting and working my fingers to the bone in order to finish Ron's Valentine's day present that I'll be showing pictures of later =] and I've been studying like crazy for my test I had last Thursday! Plus on top of that, Mr. Ron came to visit on Wednesday! =] It was amazing! We went to Olive Garden and saw Dear John. It was a very, very good night. <33 So I'm sorry I neglected you, baby blog of mine. I also neglected sleep. He and I are starting to reconcile and he's begining to forgive me. Will you forgive me as well? =] Picture found here How was everyone's Valentines day?! What'd you get your significant other if you have one? I celebrated mine the night before because Ron has to work all day V-Day. So I surprised him with the life-sized teepee I made him and dinner and movies. =] And he got me the cutest roses and teddy bear and balloon =] I don't have my camera cord with me right now so I'll be sure to post pictures later!! I hope you all had a great Valentines day or anti-love day for some =] Today I found the most *PERFECT* art prints for Mr. Ron and myself! Awww =] One day I will own them all. Or at least one of them... =] here's a few of my favorites! They're all from Rosie Music on etsy. He plays music and video games and I knit and sew and draw and blog. <3 I think they are absolutely perfectly adorable! Sorry I missed spotlight Sunday! =[[ To make it up to you, here is a mini spotlight on one of the cutest bands that never should've broken up. Goodbye Tomorrow The last one says cover but it's the original singer singing the song, so it counts still =] haha Their music is *so* beautiful. I absolutely love it with all of my heart. Check them out here! Well all you beautiful people! I hope this extra long post helps you forgive me for being MIA the past week! I love you all! Another post coming later tonight with pictures from Saturday =] <333 XOXOXOXOXOXOXO Taylor P.S. Happy President's Day! =] Hope you have a great day off school/work or just plain have a great day if neither of those apply to you!!
I kind of mostly *love* certain screamo bands. <3 I thought it was time I shared some of that love with you beautiful people. I know it's not for everyone, but lately I've just been loving it;; A Day To Remember. Attack, Attack! blessthefall;; Alesana<33 akissforjersey Eyes Set to Kill Ahh =]] I love it. And it's funny because it's kind of really unexpected and not many people know that about me. But there's just such raw emotion and power that goes into these songs because of the screaming and I think that adds a whole other level that other songs just can't always obtain. It's also nice on days when I'm angry or working out =] haha! Love you all! Have a great Monday!
xoxo Taylor This week I decided to spotlight on a band that has gone from the little band that no one knew [back when i lovedddd them!!] to a HUGE band that is going all over the world and having sold out shows everywhere. Who is this band, you might ask? All Time Low. <33 Eeek!! I'm sad to report that they bring out my inner 12 year old teen girl. Alex [the main singer] and Jack [the guitarist] own my heart. Jack mostly because he reminds me of my own adorable boyfriend =]] and Alex because, well, that's a face that's hard to resist. ;] I've seen the three times and they were amazing each and every time! They're songs are so fun and catchy, you have to love them. Their newest cd, Nothing Personal, is severly lacking what I originally fell in love with on their Put Up or Shut Up EP, but is still an all together amazing cd. I have a hard time picking a favorite song of theirs, but it's probably a four way tie with The Girl's a Straight Up Hustler, Jasey Rae, Lullabies, and Coffee Shop Soundtrack from Put Up or Shut Up. Then of course Remembering Sunday from So Wrong, It's Right follows right behind. Here are a few fun videos =] It's always fun to see a 'then' and 'now' video too. Here's one of their first songs, before Put Up or Shut Up. and here's a 'now' video. =] Just a little forwarning;; there is some explict content at the very begining. They're just so fun! =]] Check them out on myspace and purevolume. You can buy their music on itunes, Target, Walmart, and pretty much anywhere music is sold! <33 eek! =] teehee
I forgot to mention;; They have a new song coming out on the Almost Alice cd, music inspired by the new Alice in Wonderland movie! SO excited! Look for it! =] Last photo found via myspace, other three are mine. This weekend has been amazing. Boyfriend time, family time. Amazing. <33 And! I made the beautiful book page wreath from the tutorial I posted a few days ago! [I used a horrible harlequin romance novels I got as a joke for my birthday two years ago. haha =] I did my own spin on it =] I used purple paint on the ends instead of brown, and I rolled it up in my own special way =] It looks a bit better in person. My room has terribly lighting, sorry about that! =] I love you all! I'll be back later tonight with band spotlight sunday! Mwah!!
