A Tay to Remember

This week I'm particularly excited to bring to you;;
Chase Coy.
I stumbled upon him last summer and his songs are just so darn cute and downright incredible. The December EP is my absolute favorite.

His story from his purevolume page;
I started writing and recording music about three years ago in the basement of my home in Greenwood, Indiana. Since then, I've grown up quite a bit, and so has my music.

Writing is how I sort through my life, how I make sense of things, and howIi get my mind straight when I can't seem to handle everything life throws at me at times. It has helped me realize that even though things can get tough, there's always a light at the end of the tunnel if you can make it through.

I have learned more about myself in the past three years through my music than I ever imagined I would. Now I appreciate the small things, I look to the future with a sense of optimism, and I'm not in a hurry to grow up anymore.

This past summer, after finishing up my senior year of high school, I went into a studio to begin recording my full-length album, which I am super excited for. I'm putting college off for now to pursue my music full-time and see what happens.

I'm scared to death of what the future holds for me, but at the same time I am the happiest I have ever been. I can't wait to meet the next year head on and have no regrets when it's over, no matter the outcome.

More than anything, I just want to be able to be honest with my songs, to continue to grow as a person and as a songwriter, and to share my sense of optimism with every person who hears my music.

This is my music, and it means the world to me that you're listening. I hope you can relate, and I hope my music can help you as much as it has helped me.

This weekend has been spent alone in Boise doing French homework. But, in between my studying and homework, I made these bad boys.

Haha they're so ridiculously amazing! And sooo soft and comfy! I love them! I made them using this tutorial from Purl Bee =] They're a tad bit too big but I love themm! <3
I have gotten hardly any sleep this weekend, last night bed at 4 am and awake at 8:30, thanks to my Koreans slamming doors and being loud. Boo! So to get back at them, I "borrowed" some of their hot chocolate. shhh ;]

And hello, am I the only one who sees the heart there? I had to take a picture of it. =] haha

Pop songs are awesome. BUT remade screamo versions of pop songs are just plain fun. =]

 And guess what!? Falling For Beloved has a FREE download of Love Story here! I'm pretty sure that's my favorite remake of that song.

Do you have a band that when you listen to takes you back to the particular time? For me one of the main bands that does that is Playradioplay! Mostly because their cd came out and I listened to it nonstop during the time Mr. Ron and I were falling in love and I used to listen to them especially when I would take my random drives to the middle of no where. =]
They're one of those bands that make me feel all floaty and remeniscent. It's a weird feeling, but I love it. =] I don't listen to them often becasue I don't ever want to lose that or associate them with something else.

These songs have been inspiring me today =] I got in an Angels and Airwaves mood ever since Love came out and these songs off their older albums are so beautiful I just wanted to share some 'hump day' inspiration =]]
