This week I'm particularly excited to bring to you;; Chase Coy. I stumbled upon him last summer and his songs are just so darn cute and downright incredible. The December EP is my absolute favorite. His story from his purevolume page; I started writing and recording music about three years ago in the basement of my home in Greenwood, Indiana. Since then, I've grown up quite a bit, and so has my music. Writing is how I sort through my life, how I make sense of things, and howIi get my mind straight when I can't seem to handle everything life throws at me at times. It has helped me realize that even though things can get tough, there's always a light at the end of the tunnel if you can make it through. I have learned more about myself in the past three years through my music than I ever imagined I would. Now I appreciate the small things, I look to the future with a sense of optimism, and I'm not in a hurry to grow up anymore. This past summer, after finishing up my senior year of high school, I went into a studio to begin recording my full-length album, which I am super excited for. I'm putting college off for now to pursue my music full-time and see what happens. I'm scared to death of what the future holds for me, but at the same time I am the happiest I have ever been. I can't wait to meet the next year head on and have no regrets when it's over, no matter the outcome. More than anything, I just want to be able to be honest with my songs, to continue to grow as a person and as a songwriter, and to share my sense of optimism with every person who hears my music. This is my music, and it means the world to me that you're listening. I hope you can relate, and I hope my music can help you as much as it has helped me. Here are some of my favorite songs. The first one, Eight Dollar Engagement Rings means the most to me. Death Cab Cover? =] And super exciting! He has LOTS of free downloads on his purevolume page.
