A Tay to Remember

Today I woke up at 9 and have been doing homework nonstop except for two little breaks in which I just did other things I needed to get done. So sorry for such a late post!
But I am incredibly grateful for TWO things today;;
Adorable good morning texts from that cute boy of mine that make me wake up with a smile and remind me I'm loved.

And my mom. Holy Hannah this woman is the definition of an INCREDIBLE mother who learned to be so amazing from my INCREDIBLE grandmother who learned it from my INCREDIBLE great grandmother. I hope one day my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren can say the same thing about me because I hope I can be as incredible as my mother and grandmother are and as amazing as my beautiful great grandmother was.

I am going to go watch Thank You For Smoking and hopefully be inspired for my speech about the FDA regulation of tobacco. wootwoot! One thing not many people know about me is I used to be a hugeee anti-tobacco activist [anti-industry, not anti-smoker!!] I did work and I get really excited about bills that hurt the industry that produces the only product that if used as directed as a guaranteed death rate of 1/3 of all its users. It's about time these people had to pay for all the deaths they cause. And that is the only shpeel about how terrible the tobacco industry is, I promise =]

Today started off waking up before my alarm, which if you know me well, doesn't happen. In fact, I rarely wake up to my alarm. So I thought, man! Today is going to be good and I'm going to be on top of my game! WRONG! Life informed me that was not the case as it then decided to dump a HUGE bowl of sticky fruit loops all over my lap, floor, computer chair, desk, ect. And it's been a fantastic up and down like that all day long. So I am having a terrible time being very positive, which is funny because in French today we had to put on a skit and long story short, I had to play the overly positve person. =]
But anyways! In challenging myself to be grateful for something every day I have been forced to take all my negativity and focus it towards something I am grateful for. and today, it's music.

And if you follow my blog or know me personally, you know music is something that is very important to me and a huge part of my life. I wrote a big long paper on how I believe in the power of music. It's just something I can't really put into words. I can relate to music more than I can relate to anything else. I especially love beautiful lyrics. So here are some songs I am particularly loving today.

Gah! School has been kicking my booty lately! So today instead of hating it, I decided to be grateful for the fact that I am able to be in college right now. The country isn't doing so hot money wise and not many people are able to go afford to go to college. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be able to further educate myself and allow myself to go further in life and *hopefully* wind up with an awesome career after I graduate! =]

But now I'm off to write an art paper and start on my speech!

Developed some fisheye film and some Diana film todayy! I'm still trying to get the hang of the Diana =/ none of the pictures were blurry, but just waaay too close. I clearly am doing the zoom wrong. haha I'll get it one day!! Here are a few of my favorite fisheye pictures...

And FINALLY! Some Dianas I can show off! They're all a bit closer than intended. But over-all I'm excited about them =] I didn't edit any of them. I really like the way they naturally turned out. =]

I think they have such a perfect imperfect look to them. =] It makes me wish I could get every picture to actually turn out instead of 10 out of 24. Any Diana users out there who could give me some tips? =]

Today I am grateful for a few things every one of us take for granted all too often. A healthy body. I have a class with a girl who is blind in one eye and partially blind in the other. I also live in the same apartment complex with a girl who only has one leg and can't walk.
So today I am grateful that I am able to see the beautiful sky. That I am able to hear the wind rustling the leaves and the beautiful music playing on my ipod. That I am able to walk to class and back home. I am grateful for this healthy, working body of mine.

I'm going to spend the rest of the night watching Parenthood with the INCREDIBLE Lauren Graham. I can't tell you how excited I am to watch a new show with her in it.
